PROGRESS IN
CANADA
The annual review of hydro- electric progress in Canada, which has been sued by the Dominion Water and Power Bureau, Depart- ment of Mines and Resources. Ottawa, shows that during 1933 there was not only a substantial increase in

EXPORT OF WAR
MATERIALS
LONDON, "May 3 (BWS)-The subject of the export to Germany of material required for war pur- poses was raised in the House of Commons yesterday and the Presl dent of the Board of Trade said that, in the event of war. almost any materials might be used for war purposes and that nearly all materials used for war purposes. had pacinc purposes as well.
He did not think it was desirable to divide people into two camps It would seem to give a real point to that propaganda about encir clement, which, at the moment, was, of course. completely false and unfounded.
