ENTERTAINING TENNIS SEEN IN H.K. AREA THE FANLING HUNT
MIXED DOUBLES FINAL

MRS.
ANDREWES IMPRESSES WITH FINE BACKHAND
(By TAC)
Entertaining tennis, maintained at a standard much above the expectations of most of the small gallery present, was seen in the finals of the Handicap Mixed Doubles tennis tournament organised by the Hongkong Cricket Club, played on the Stand Court at the Club ground yesterday, when W. Sander and Miss A. Tylor" (-15) beat H. J. Armstrong and Mrs. Andrewes (15.3).
Less than 30 people paid to watch the game, which is another way of saying that most of the tennis-loving public deluded themselves into the belief that because the encounter was a Club affair it would hardly be worth seeing. In actual fact the tie in parts provided more interesting and scintillating tennis than had been seen in many an Open match up to date.

We finished our season with a lawn meet at Mr. Peter Potts Bungalow, where we once again partook of the good brandy which the rental "Squire of Sheungsbul," provides.
