The market opened 1/8 of a cent higher for all deliveries as compared with Tuesday's closing quotations.

Responding to the better sentiment displayed by London and New York, the market ruled very steady during the morning session. Active demand for "spot" Rubber was in evidence, which it was difficult, however, to satisfy due to the tight spot position.
There was also large buying interest in fitures for speculative accounts, but it was dificult to arrange business due to the re- served attitude of sellers. Consequently only a moderate volume of business was transacted.
During the afternoon slightly quieter conditions prevalled, the market closing with a quiet, but steady undertone.....

After ruling quiet but steady, the market improved on tinental demand and better New York cables.
A better sentiment prevailed at the opening and prices ad- ruled vanced on some trade buying, Bubsequently, May option strong, whilst the more distant positions receded. This was due to renched close." prices had Southern and foreign selling. At the practically the lowest levels for the day. but the tone was fairly steady.
Prices "further advanced on new buying and covering by shorts. Demand from manufacturers later in the day further aided the market and prices closed at about the best levels for the session.
CHICAGO WHEAT
A very quiet market, with trading on a very small scale. Early on, the strength of foreign markets and a better export demand helped sentiment. Towards the close, trading slackened and, very quiet conditions prevailed.
