The monthly meeting of the General Committes of the Kow- kon Residents' Association was held on Tuesday, April 4. In 8t. Andrew's Church Hall at 5.30 pm. The following were present: Major C. 31. The Committee viewed with a great deal of concern the many re- ports that had been received with regard to the dumping of refuse in the Harbour, particularly in Kow-
loon Bay and in the vicinity of
Stonecutters Island.
It appeared
that the Sanitary Department
barges were the chief offenders in this respect. A great deal of this flotsam was cast up at Taiwan Bay and other beacties in Kowloon and constituted a positive nuisance and menace to health. It was decided to write to the Director of Medical Services drawing his attention to this practice.

The Traffic Sub-Committee again drew attention to the danger of the grass islands in Waterloo Road between Argyle Street and Prince Edward Road. As they are at present they constitute a very grave danger to motorcar drivers at night. and especially in rainy or föggy weather.
