COTTON CONFUSION CONTINUES

WASHINGTON, April 6 (Ken- ter) The legislative outlook for cotton was further confused when the Chairman of the House of Representatives' Agri- cultural Committee, Mr. Jones, labelled the Senate-approved Bankhead Bill as inadequate and at the same time, proposed the appropriation of $300,000,- 000, of which $200,000,000 would; be used for parity payments and. $100,000,000 to expand farm markets.

Mr. Jones, favours à subsidy to in- crease domestle cotton consump farmers to secure the release of tion, together with a bounty to

loan cotton.
