The 1937-38 cotton crup in the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, yielded of cottonseed 500,000,000 kilos About 20,000,000 kilos was processed locally. This seed yielded 63,000,000 kilos of crude oil and 200,000,000 Elios of cottonseed cakes. The total value of all cotton by-products frum this State during the period Indicated amounted to $8,435,000.

The market opened with prices unchanged for all deliveries sa compared with Monday's closing quotations.
Early in the morning the market ruled with a quiet undertone. Only a moderate demand for "actuals" by consuming centres was in evidence, whilst dealers and speculators maintained' side-line positions due to the downward trend of the New York Stock-mar- kets caused by reports of less favourable bustness-expansion in UB.A. including the Steel and Motorcar Industries.
Later in the session the market turned easter on general 'liquida- tion, prices declining by 1/3 cent for all deliveries. But business rates due to" scarcity of would only be arranged at slightly lower

NEW YORK COTTON
The market was inclined to be easy at the opening, with prices down slightly. Traders were hesitant, due to a renewal of European political uncertainties. Later, themarket sharply declined on forelan selling. The weakness of securities further depressed the market. At the close, the market was barely steady.
NEW YORK RUBBER
The early decline was due to lack of demand. There was no special feature throughout the day. The action of the London mar- ket and the weakness on Wall Street were depressing factors. Prices at the close recovered slightly from the lowest levels recorded for the day.
CHICAGO WHEAT
The market behaved better on renewed European uncertainties. The firmness of Winnipeg imparted strength to the local market. There was a good export demand, which also helped prices.
