The market opened 1/4 of a cent lower for all deliveries as compared with Tuesday's closing quotationis.
Throughout the session the market displayed an easier undertone being influenced by further heavy speculative liquidation. Also the apparent reactionary movement of the stock markets in London and New York, the possiblitty of a higher permissible export quota for uncertainties surrounding the the third quarter coupled with the international political situation exercised a restraining influenes upon speculative buying, although, for the time being, fair consumption prospects, particularly in USA., would appear to be, maintained.
In view of these.conditions It was difficult to arrange busine and such transactions, as were recorded, could only be put through at prices well, below quoted rates.
Closing tone was very quiet.

NEW YORK COTTON,
The market to-day was nervous and irregular. At the opening, prices declined with the undertone weak on lower Liverpool cables. Foreign selling and President Roosevelt's, recommendation for, ex- ports subsidy caused traders to adopt a cautious, attitude. Later, -- however, new-crop months staged a sharp rally: At the close, the market was barely steady, although prices, had recovered from the lows of the day.
NEW YORK RUBBER
A dull and featureless market. Prices, declined at the opening, but recovered the early losses to close practically unchanged from the previous close. Traders,, on the whole, are awaiting the forthcording meeting of the Restriction, Committes.
CHICAGO, WHEAT
The market eased in sympathy with, foreign cables early in the session. Later, values further alightly receded on reports of bene- fictal raina. The close found some liquidation and the undertone was very quiet.
