The market opened with prices unchanged for all deliveries at
compared with Monday's closing quotations.
• Responding to advices received from New York the market ruled with a quiet undertone early in the morning. Fair enquiries for prompt delivery by consuming interests were in evidence, which however, falled to absorb the considerable speculative quidation of April-June" options.
In view of this fact the market became easier later in the sea- sion, whilst prices registered, a decline of 1/8 cent for all deliveries. But even the lower rates failed to attract buying and business could only be arranged at rates slightly under the lower level.
Closing tone was ensy,

After ruling quiet, the market eased on speculative liquidation and closed idle.

The market opened easy, although declines were small. Lower Liverpool cables and the weakness of securities were responsible for the initial easiness. Later, prices partially recovered in sympathy
selling with the rally on Wall Street. Foreign
orders, however, checked the advance. The market was barely steady at the close. although prices were above the low levels for the session.
NEW YORK BUBBER
Prices reflected the decline in London and the easiness of securi-
ties. There was some consumer buying on the decline. The market rallied partially towards the close, when prices staged a minor re covery. The closing undertone was fairly steady.
CHICAGO WHEAT
The market advanced fraction ally owing to the firmness in Livar- pool and Winnipeg. Unfavourable weather reports also alded the, market.
