Early in the moming the market ruled with a quiet undertone. Although fair enquiries, for "actuals" by consuming centres were in- In evidence," speculators. preferred to maintain alte-line positions in view of the unsettled international political situation. Consequently only a moderate volume of business was transacted at quoted rates.
