The King has approved the appointment of Sir Erie Mieville to be attached temporarily as head of the Household of the Governor-General-designate, the Duke of Kent, in Australia.
His Majesty has also approved of Sir Eric Mieville acting as Principal Secretary to the Duke from the time of his departure from England.
Sir Eric Mleville has been Assis- tant Private Secretary to the King since 1937 following a, diplomatic career and service in Canada and India with a Governor-General and Viceroy, and as private secretary to the King when he was Duke of York.
