vilege's great spurt under the guidance of Mr. Needa to win by half a length from Criffel, was a pleasure to watch. Discovery Bay, with Mr. S. L" Yuen up, went ahead for a long time, and it looked as though it would safely win, but it tired out prematurely, and he rest of the field, took ad- vantage and pushed up.
Criffel on entering the straight looked likely winner, but Mr. Needa decided otherwise, and Mr. Proulx had to be content with second place.
