EXHIBITION WILL OPEN SUNDAY
Mr. Hsu Shih-ying, former- ly Prime Minister of China and later Ambassador to Japan, who is now Director- General of the National Relief Commission, will formally open the Exhibition of Chin- ese National Products in, the Wah Nam College, 638-641 Nathan Road, Kowloon, „at 3 o'clock on Sunday afternoon, Chinese New Year's Day. Thiş announcement was made to the press yesterday by Mr. Ip Lan-chuen, chairman of the Hongkong Chinese Manufac- turers' Union, under whose auspices the exhibition is be- ing held.
The second exhibition of" Its kinä, the first having been held atj St. Paul's Boys' College last year, it is expected that this year's show will be even more successful than that of last year. It is the aim of the Manufacturers' Union even-1 tually to hold exhibitions al- ternately on the mainland and on the Hongkong side."
Although provision had been made for some 159 stalls, it was found that the, space' at the disposal of the Manufac- turers' Union was insufficient to meet the demand at this year's exhibition. More than 110 manufacturers will be re- presented at the display, which opens on Sunday,
The exhibition will be one well worth seeing and Mr. Ip is very
