up 3/8 The market opened 1/4 of a cent higher for all deliveries as compared with Baturday's closing quotations.
In sympathy with advices received from London and New York fairly steady conditions prevalled throughout the session Demand for spot" Rubber by consuming centres was good but speculative buying interest in futures was somewhat restricted due to the un- certainties with regard to the impending quota-decision by the In- ternational Rubber Regulation Committer for the second quarter of this year. Only a moderate volume of business was transacted on basis of quoted ratés
Towards the close of the session the market became slightly easier, prices declining by 1/8 cent for all deliveries.

The market continues dull, owing to lack of news from Washing- ton. At the opening. prices were fairly steady, advancing on some trade buying. Later, however, the market reacted on Southern hedge selling and also selling by New Orleans. Finally, prices re- covered somewhat, but closed slightly under the day's best.
NEW YORK RUBBER
There was some fair demand from consumers carly in the day. This caused prices to advance. Later, however, commission house selling, imparted weakness and prices closed lower. The trade is awaiting the result of the meeting of the International Rubber Re- 15.95 striction Committee.
