William Boyd comes to the screen for the cleventh time as "Hopalong" Cassidy In "North of the Rio Grande" which is be- ing shown at the Alhambra Thea- tre.

The story is from the novej "Cottonwood Gulch," by Clarence E. Mulford and concerns "Hop's" efforts to rid a wildcat frontier town of its crooked officials and to wipe out a band of train rob- bers.

His saddle mates "Windy" and .."Lucky" are played by George Hayes and Russel Hayden: Pretty Bernadene Hayes, takes the feminine lead, as the sweetheart of "Lucky".

is nearing completion. Smith is working on a story with Lees and Rinaldo for "Culinary Carving." intended to aid the head of the house at the dinner table.

Others on the production list include "Sport Thrills of 1938," a review of outstanding events: "Radio Hams," a story by Buddy Adler: "Marine Studios," a Fitz- Patrick technicolour now being edited "Heroes in Repose," a story of the California fe guards in the off season: "Weather Wizards," a short based on the activities of the United States Weather Bureau, and "Penny's Pienie," a Prudence Penny short in technicolour.
