SHANGHAI WIRELESS OPERATIONS LEAD TO JAPANESE PROTEST
SHANGHAI, Jan. 3 Transocean)-The Japanese authorities have protested to the United States authorities against the activities of the American-owned Globe Wireless Company, which is sending tele- grams without either a Japanese or Chinese, licence for operating a commercial wireless station.
"The apparatus of the Globe Company formerly belonged to the Dollar Steamship Company, and was used for communication with
Dollar liners.
The station, however, has for several months past been opera- ting independently, accepting telegrams for transmission against pay- ment without Japanese censorship.
