4th Did you go on board the vessel?

I did.

5th And if so, did you see the Admiralty Agent?

Yes, I saw the Admiralty Agent walking about on deck alone.

6th State what passed on the occasion.

When I asked him for a receipt he appeared to be very much annoyed on account of the mails not having, as he said, been brought on board in proper time. I asked him more than once to sign a receipt for the mails, and he said he be damned if he could. I asked him if the mails were all right, he said they were all right. After this, at the request of Mr. Rangel I again asked him for a receipt, which he again refused. It was after this I came to him to enquire if the mails were all on board, and he don't you,- I then left the vessel on finding Mr. Woldridge would not comply with my request.

Certainly about 16 Minutes.

8th Did you stop on board till she got under weigh?

No, I left before she got under weigh.
