The market early declined on lower Liverpool and Bombay prices, liquidation and realising. Later, some speculative buying was met by local and foreign selling, with most operators content to remain on the side-line. Finally, the market further drifted down on renew- ed liquidation, Influenced by New Orleans trade selling.
NEW YORK RUBBER
The market was featureless, with prices early depressed by un- encouraging cables and lack of incentives. Some Commission House selling was offset by the strength of the Stock Market on Wall Street.

The market opened with prices unchanged "for all deliveries as compared with Monday's closing quotations.
Responding to advices received from Londdh and New York, very quiet conditions prevalled throughout the day. Despite fair demand for "spot" Rubber, dealers and speculators were disinclined to operate on any larger scale, preferring to await the impending in- nouncement of American consumption-figures for November.
Later in the session, prices registered a slight decline of 1/8 cent for all deliveries due to some liquidation on a thin market,
Closing tone was quiet.
