After the opening the market ruled steady, but quiet in sym- pathy with conditions prevailing in London and New York Demand for "actuals" was moderate. whlist there was very little activity by speculators preferred to maintain side-line positions, until the un- certainties with regard to Sterling have been clarified.
It would appear that the market, at the moment, is in need of some incentives and general support. In the meantime only minor Auctuations may be expected.
