Italian Sailors Cause International Brawl
Shanghai, December 5. Following alleged provocation by Itallan 'marines, British, French and American servicemen were involved, shortly after midnight yes- terday, in a ficht which is described as one of the most serious clashes ever seen in "Blood Alley," nickname for Rue Chu Pao San, pabaret centre.
The fight is believed to have started when an Italian sailor call- ed out to a French sailor. "Tunis! Corsica!" Italian sailors are also reported to have hurled insulting remarks at British soldiers.
