Over $7,000 was raised by the annual street collection and sale of roses in aid of the poor helped by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul which took place yesterday.

The needs of the poor are grea- ter than ever this year,, for a great number of poor families, in their effort to help relatives who are war refugees, have impoverished themselves and now are in need of assistance.
