SOFTBALL MATCHES AT CAROLINE HILL TO-DAY

American Girls To Play Against Local Men

The most important softball event, since the introduction of the game to Hongkong, will take place to-day, at the South China ground, Caroline Bill. At 3.34 fm., Mr. Southard. U.S. Consul-General, will perform the opening ceremony, of pitching the traditional first ball, of the game in which the American Girls clash with the local All Chinese team.

The tourists will, at 5:00 p.m.. place a second squad in the field against an All Star team, which will be composed of the best 'local players who have not appeared in the opener. Fiedler's Girls are fresh from a triumphant tour of Manila during the course of which they defeated some of the best men's teams in the Philippine Islands, including the USS, "Marblehead aggregation, champions of the US. Asiatic Fleet.
