match at Manchester to-day by seven goals to fil
Hall's feat. of scoring five times was an England International re- cord, and his three goals, in three minutes becomes the first of in- ternational fast scoring records.
The Irish defenders were unable to check the speedy English for- wards, who indulged in long swing- ing passes and brillant combina- tion.
The Irish forwards were given little of the ball by the English de- fenders, who were deadly in their tackling.
Other English goal-scorers were Lawton, the centre-forward, Mat- thews, outside right,
England led 4-0 at half-time. Ireland's defeat ensures that they will finish at the bottom of the International table.
CHANGE TO SIDES
One change was made in each side. Morris, the Wolverhampton right back, coming in to take the place of Sprvaston, who was in- jured, and Twomey, of Leeds, -playing in goal for Ireland instead of Breen, of Manchester United.
