In reply to your letter Nos of this date, forwarding to me for my perusal, and remarks, a communication from the Colonial Secretary at Melbourne touching the ship "Alped", I have the honor to state, for the information of His Excellency, The Governor, that I granted to this vessel, under the authority conferred by your letter No 32 of 23rd January last, a modified certificate, not declaratory of her full compliance with the provisions of the Emigration Act, but, as noticed by the Acting
