BRITISH TRADE ENDANGERED
Firm Attitude Urged
London, Nov. 11. The question of foreign trade in China is the subject of a letter to "The Times" by Mr. J. W. Nicholson, chairman of the China Section of the London Chamber of Commerce.
M г. Nicholson expresses the hope that the Government would be taking a long view polley and bearing in mind that while reconstraëtion of China by Japanese. Industry might employ some British finance, this would be very cold comfort British industry, com- merce or shipping.
Nor would it be in the interest of China herself to have only one foreign source to look for help in developing the country.
