Anglo-German Air Pact

To Be Discussed

London, November 2

Inspired by the Prime Minister, Mr. Chamberlain's speech before the House of Commons yesterday, the Conservative papers herald the beginning of a new époch of peace which will be inaugurated within a fortnight when the Anglo-Italian agreement becomes Effective,

Regretting that Mr. Chamberlain, made no actual proposals as regards the Anglo-German understanding, "The Times” nevertheless hints that the two countries will soon arrive at a point for discuss- ing an air pact for the protection of civilian population of towns during the times of war.
