Intensifying their activities along the Feiping-Hankow Raliway,, Chinese ruerillas launched a furious attack on Paoting, provincial capital of Hopei, now under Japanese occupation, on Wednesday night. Flores fighting continued until yesterday morning.
In the meantime, another Chinese mobile unit attacked Wangtu, southwest of Paoting on the same railway, and drove the Japanese out of the town. Fighting also occurred on the same day at Cheng- ting, north of Shihchlachwang. Traffic on the Pelping-Hankow Railway has now been disrupted.
