A secret session of the First Special District Court was held this morning prior to the con- tinued hearing of the case it which Yu Th-yuen, cookboy. is charged with the murder of A Russian. Miss Margaret Vexler, aged 22. in Broadway Mansions on September 30,
At the secret session it is under- stood that Captain E. M. Smyth. Deputy Commissioner of.. the Shanghai Municipal Police, by whom the accused was employed, testified before the Judge.
Judgment was reserved to next Wednesday.
It will be recalled that at the first hearing last Friday, the ne- cused confessed that he killed Miss Vexler because of a couple of eggs. and She bought eight bad eggs scolded him for it. They quarrell- ed and fought and "in the end I suppose I killed her."
