MACAO OCTOBER RACE MEETING

Interesting Programme Of Handicap Events

(BY "LAST QUARTER")

FOLLOWERS OF THE SPORT of Kings will have another oppor- tunity of enjoying a week-end in the Portuguese Colony when the October meeting of the Macao Jockey Club takes place on the As on former occasions, Areia Preta" course to-morrow afternoon; the ss. "Kinshan" will leave Hongkong at 9.30 am., returning from "Macao on Monday at 3 ..

The opening event, over one..mile, should be well contested "as there are several ponies with a definite chance of carrying off the honours.. Shanghal 4 should strip in much better condition and I believe Fairy Auk, who is rather heavily weighted, must be at his best to account for the Macao champlon. Opposition may also be. expected from Rothesay Bay, as this pony ran a good race at the last meeting and should be near top condition now.
