of to-morrow'> Munich, meeting came, when market became strong and active.
NEW YORK COTTON
The market was early dominated by the developments in Europe and prices declined on the unfavourable political news, the weak-" ness of Sterling, liquidation and general selling. Later. prices bounded up in response to the calling of the Four Power conference - at Munich and there was good general buying, especially of October position. Frices, somewhat later, again partially reacted on realia- ing, but the market steadied before the close.
NEW YORK RUBBER
The market's early weakness was a reflection of the weak advices from abroad, the partial collapse of Sterling and the critical Euro- pean situation. There was heavy foreign Equidation and general selling, but prices staged a brisk recovery and went sharply upwards, on receipt of the news of the Munich Conference, which brought a broad wave of buying and a revival of demand from all quarters.
