The market opened" with prices unchanged for all deliveries as compared with Saturday's closing rates.
Early in the morning prices were quoted only nominally, opera- tors preferring to await further developments in the absence of quota- tions from the London and New York Rubber Exchanges which were closed on Saturday last.

Later in the session prices slipped badly on reports of the very grave political situation in Europe. There was large liquidation, on the scale-down, business, being reported as low as 24-1/2 cents for January-March options. However. late in the afternoon the market became slightly steadler.
