The guests included the Hon. Bir Robert Kotewall and the Hon. Mr. T. N. Chau and in the course of the evening a number of speeches were made, including one by Dr. Atal. head of the Mission, who re- turned thanks for the hospitality extended.

It has been with considerable joy and pride that we have follow- ed month after month the rapid growth throughout India of a sincere sympathy with China, in her bitter sorrow and suffering, and in this well-equipped medical unit the National Congress and people of India fiave given to Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek and the whole Chinese people, who united behind him in this struggle, a practical expression of that sympathy.
