VIOLENT TIRADE

Democracies Also Attacked In Nuremberg Speech

Alleging that the Sudeten Germans in Czechoslovakia had been unjustly treated by the Czech Government. Chancellor Adolf Hitler. of Germany, in his eagerly awaited speech at Nuremberg on Monday night, declared that he would not tolerate a continuance of such conditions in that country but asserted that the Sudetens bad the right to self-determination, a statement which is generally interpret- ed to mean that he is encouraging the Sudetens to demand a plebis-

cile.

Nuremberg, Sept. 13. Referring to the Czech-Sudeten dispute in his speech here last night. Herr. Hitler. said:-

It is here not question of 'empty phrases, but of the right of the Germans, a question of self- determination possessed by every other people. Dr. Benes is not asked to present a gift to these Germans. They have a right to demand individual hfe just as any other people.
