TWO CHINESE COMPANIES WIPED OUT BY POISON GAS

Tehan. Sept. 12. The Japanese again' used poison gas against the Chinese forces yesterday, when the men of two Chinese companies" were practically all killed by the deadly weapon at Shikmakai, near Wusuch, on the north bank of the Yangtse."

When the Japanese, numbering about 1000, were repulsed after a heavy attack on the Chinese pošl- tion, they resorted to the use of gas shells.
