H.K. RIFLE ASSOCIATION SEASON OPENING ON WEDNESDAY

NEW FAR EAST TROPHY MATCH

WILL BE INAUGURATED

The Hong Kong Rifle Association's fourth season will open on Wednesday with a spoon and Practice Shoot on the Kowloon Ranges very kindly lent again by the Military Authorities.

Membership now consists of twelve affiliated clubs represented by 1258 full members of whom there are 765 resident in the Colony. The first part of the season will be devoted to choosing S.R. (a) and (b) teams for both the Inter-Colonial match and the Far East Trophy match.

The latter matter was arranged by Major D. H. Steers before he left the Colony and will be inaugurated for the Arst time this year. The teams competing in this trophy are the Ceylon Rifle As. sociation; P. M. S. Volunteer Force Ride Association, and Singapore- Rifle Association. It is hoped to fire of both these matches in the middle of December.
