LOCAL COMMENT Commenting on China's demand for the invocation of Article 17 of the League Covenant at the forth- coming League Council and Assem- bly meetings, the local edition of the Ta Kung Pao declared in an editorial yesterday that China is not asking other countries to shed blood for her nor is she purposely embarrassing the League.
!!
What she hopes is that the principal member states of the League will apply economic sanctions against Japan and give China full assistance in finance and military suppiles so that she may continue her resistance until success is ac- hieved the paper states.
JAPAN CANNOT FIGHT The Ta Kung Pao regrets the fact that the League resolutions assistance.. to uiging Individual China by member states has been mere lip service.
