411. The Fees levied in the Inferior Court, and by the Magistrates are, to for

42. The Fees formerly charged in the Inferior Court under Rules of Jurats of March 1817 subsequently, borne by Rules General of 31st October last, at the instance of His Excellency, with the sole exception of those coming under the hand of "Attorney's Fees", been reduced Fifty per cent.
453. If as it happens complaints are heard of the expensiveness of law proceedings in this Colony, it is not against the Government that the burthen can be made; but must solely be attributed to the Fees and Dues charged by the Gentlemen of the legal profession.

Supreme Court in this Colony, Lord Moulay expressed an opinion that the Fees would be sufficient for paying the Salaries of the Registrar and the other officers of the Court, but such has not been the Case.

45. The Fees on Marriage the Governor's signature for the License if the parties be married at the Cathedral. The Fees paid to the Colonial Chaplain, or other officiating Clergyman, on such occasions, are not accounted for to the Government, nor, I believe legally payable, but simply voluntary.
46. The Fees on a Marriage by the Registrar of Marriages are $8, and accounted for to the Revenue of the Colony.
