YOVERNOR WU TE-CHEN AND GENERAL YU HAN-MOU were Joint hosts at a dinner party given" ltr honour of Sir Geoffry Northeute, Governor of Hong Kong, this evening at the Municipal Reception House.

This is the Hong Kang Governor's first informal visit to Çanton, and all the leadfrit Chinese officials and members of the British Municipal Council of Shameen attended this brillant function.

The dining hall was decorated "with the Union Jack and the Bag of the Chinese Republic. The Municipal orchestra played various selections which added to the enjoyment of the evening.

Early this afternoon King George solemnly unveiled the Australian National War Memorial erected at Villers-Bretonneux to the memory of 45,000 Australian soldiers who fell during the Great War on the French battlefields. A special train, conveying King George and Queen Elizabeth, arrived at the station of the village of Villers- Bretonneux soon after' one o'clock, The 'road leading to the monu- ment was lined by French infantry and mechanised units.
