The Cardi having been selected for service in China in place of the Capetown, her sister-ship the Calcutta will replace her as the ship of the Senior Officer in the Reserve Fleet at the Nore. Captain F. R. M. Johnson, Senior Officer, has been appointed to Calcutta from July 1, and will be succeeded in the Cardiff by Cap. tain A. R. Halhide, who will com mand her in China.
