ON NAMOA ISLAND Large Guerilla Forces Landed During Night

Canton, July 13.

An official spokesman announced that large Chinese guerilla forces landed at Nanoa Island on the night of July 11 and fighting is still going on.

The guerillas claim to have captured the Chief of the Public Administration of Namea. Wong Ling-aht, and the Vice-Chairman. Ling Wing-sin, who was shot, also the Police chief, Tseng Chin-lens and other high police officers were arrested.

Japanese planes flew over the Island today but did not drop any bombs.-(Reuter).

Central News reports that under a hazy moon, Chinese militia men took the handful of Japanese guards on the Island completely by surprise. In the confused fighting, many of the Japanese were killed, and wounded.

At the same time, a search was conducted by the Chinese for traitors. The head of the so-call- ed Public Safety Bureau was cap- tured together with many of his fleutenants.
