Mixed Doubles Champions Have An Easy Win
The 1938 tennis season was officially opened yesterday when three matches in the Mixed Doubles Division of the League were decided.
Hong Kong Cricket Club, newcomers to this section of the League, started well with a 1-2 win over the Ladies Recreation Club while U.S.R.C., the holders, beat K.C.C. "B" by 8 sets to 1. In the only other match C.R.C. beat K.C.C. “A” by 73 sets to 13.
