CHINA ON THE OFFENSIVE
HONG KONG, April 17.
Tu all intents and purposes the Chinese troops have given up their defensive tactics and have, instead, taken up the offensive to such good effect that they are continuing to press home all the ad-- vantages of the past few weeks.
Some idea of the extent of the successes attending their new method of warfare may be gained from a consideration of the new spirit that pervades Chinese soldiers and Chinese civilians.

It was recently announced that the country was determined to mobilise its forces under the able and Inspiring leadership of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, and only several days ago the | National Kuomintang Congress unanimously voted dictatorial powers on the Generalissimo. From this it will be readily seen that there is no lack of unity in China today.
