I have the honor to report that the Rev. J. J. Irwin arrived in Hongkong on the 30th June last, and by virtue of a Warrant under the Royal Signet and Sign Manual was duly appointed on that day under the usual Commission, to the office of Colonial Chaplain of Hongkong.
