MESSRS. ROZA BROS. Silver prices dropped 1/8 yester- day for both deliveries, the quota- tions being 20 7/16 for Ready and 20 1/8 for Forward. Silver advices reported a little bear covering. Speculators sold. The market was steady. After the official fixing business was done at 1/16 over the fixed rate, American Silver was quoted at 44 3/4 for spot.
The London-New York cross- rate was quoted at 495.93. New York-London was quoted at 496.
