Some surprises were recorded in the Club de Recreio snooker cham- plonship which has now reached the semi-final stage.

In the earlier rounds L V. An- tonlo, holder of the Colony title, was surprisingly beaten by P. A. Yvanovich while the Club cham- plon, E A. Remedios, lost to E. M. Soares.

On Wednesday, March 23, A. P. Pereira will meet P. A Yvanovich in the first of the semi-finals, the other, between J. J. Remedios and J. C. Remedios or E. M. Soares be- ing fixed for Friday, March 25. The final will be played on Tues- day, March 29.

The highest break, 40 points. was done by P. A. Yvanovich.
