BALL GREAT SUCCESS Kissing Blarney Stone Is Cause Of Much Amusement

H.E. THE GOVERNOR ATTENDS

Irishmen and colleens foregathered in large numbers at the Peninsula Hotel last night on the occasion of the annual Ball of the St. Patrick's Society of Hong Kong. His Excellency the Governor, Sir Goeffry Northcote, K.C.M.G., attended.

The function was an unqualified success. Dancing commenced at 9.30 p.m. and continued until 3 o'clock this morning. Special Irish dances were arranged and were much enjoyed.

Effective decorations, artistically carried out in the Rose Room. added in no small measure to the success of the Ball.

An outstanding feature of the scheme of decorations was the replica of the famous Blarney Castle and endeavours, to kiss the stone provided an abundance of amusement throughout the evening.

The original Blarney Castle is in General Bartholomew and Lady the squth of Ireland, about five MacGregor; Right Rev. R. O.
