UNINTERESTING BATTING

BY THE INDIANS

Game With Club Reviewed

By "New L.B.W."

Cricket verging on the sensational was played on Saturday and in view of the results a revision might well have to be made in fore- casting the ultimate destination of the Senior Shield.

The three leading teams, Indian R.C., Kowloon C.C., and Craigen- gower, were all engaged and, whereas the last-named seized with Both hands their opportunity against a weak Army side, the Indians lost a great chance of beating the Club, and Kowloon slipped up badly against Club de Recreio.

With Kowloon it was a case of their having the misfortune to run into one of the most powerful hitters now playing locally in his best form, and this rather upset all caiculations. The Indians had only themselves to blame for the loss of two valuable points. They did very well or rather two of their youngest batsmen did) up to a point. but then an inexplicable Indecisiveness and ultra safety-first tactics on the part of two of their best bats ruined for them a very good chance of a win and in the end they might even have lost had the game gone on a little longer.

The Indians Club game was one, easily have "gone through him, in which the interest was sustained the home alde seemed to be getting trom the Arst ball bowled to the jon top..

Full Range Postal Match

With the warm approval and support of the Dominions, Colonial and Foreign Offices, the National Rifle Association has instituted a 303 Full Range Postal Match for one or two teams of eight British Subjects or British Protected Persons resident or stationed in 517 Colonies, Protectorates and Countries of the Empire. If, two teams are entered, one team must use Rifles S.R. (s), and the other team Rifles S.R. (b). No member of a team may fire or in any way take any part in both classes.

A lull in the international championship brought the open- ing match of the Triangular Tournament among the Services at Twickenham in which the Royal Navy beat the Royal Air Force by two goals to a penalty goul and a try. writes a Home correspondent. It looked any-

The match may be fired, under official supervision, on any day between January 1, and December 31, and on any range in the competing country; the certified results will be sent to the N.KA. for adjudication.
