The annual flower show of the Hong Kong Horticultural Society, was held at St. John's Place, Garden Road, yesterday. His Ex- cellency the Governor,, Sir Geoffry Northcote, distributing the prizes. In the absence of Lady Northcote, President of the Society. Mr. Ho Kom-tong presided.

Though there was a slight decrease in the number of entries compared with previous years, competition was very keen.

Lady Margaret Ho Tung, being the most successful competitor. was the winner of the Banksian Award, whilst Mr. J. T. Bagram, the popular and energetic Honorary Secretary, carried off the Lady Northcote Challenge Bowl for having done the most to promote or improve horticulture in the Colony.
