corner, but the timely arrival of reinforcements, together with planes, |which bombed the Chinese positions, saved a difficult situation.

Burden On Revenues
Mentioned
London, Feb. 10.
.King George will not visit India this year. An official communique states the mutter is of deep regret to the King that he has once more felt obliged to postpone the visit, but his Majesty feels that. after careful examination of the matter in all its aspects, both financial and general, he would not be justified in imposing any additional burden en the existing revenues of India at a time when the call on them in connection with the inauguration of provincial autonomy. is already houvy.

Moreover, his Majesty would de- plore loss or inconvenience result- ing from any change of plans that might prove necessary at a later date.
With these considerations in mind, his Majesty has reluctantly come to the conclusion that it would be advisable to wait until general world outlook becomes more settled and the financial as- pects more dednite, before mitting himself to an engagement so long in advance,
