NOVEL SWEETS AND PRESERVES
To refresh the early-morning palate, half a grapefruit is in- valuable.
A delicious refreshing jelly for the sweet course is made with grapefruit
Ingredients: 2 juicy grapefruits, A pint boiling water. 3 oz. sugar, 1 egg white, 1 oz. gelatine, 3 table- spoonfuls of cold water.
Dissolve the gelatine in the cold water,
thon, add to the boiling water. Stir in the grapefruit juice and sugar, then fold, in the stifly whisked egg white, pour into a mould and leave till set.
