YELLOW RIVER CROSSED

Hankow. Dec, 25.

It has been confirmed that the Japanese crossed the Yellow River In northern Shantung and have reached Chowtsun, a station on the Kiaochow-Tsinanfu Raliway, 180 miles from Tsingtao.

The Japanese crossed the river on Thursday in the vicinity of Putal and Huiming, and landed at Tsingllocheng.

Hankow, Dec. 25. The new Soviet Ambassador to China, M. Luganetsorelsky, is ex- pected at Stanfu to-day from Lanchow, says an official report.

The Ambassador is en route to Hankow but will proceed shortly to Chungking to present his creden- tials to Mr. Lin Sen, Chairman of the National Government.
